- Regular nucleus meetings held ahead of executive meeting to ratify decisions, approve loans and receive updates on investment activities
- On-going construction of the organization’s 10,000 liter milk cooling plant in Muhoroni Town
- On-going campaign, sensitisation and farmer mobilisation to increase participation in both fodder and dairy value chains for profits. A plan and budget have been drawn with Heifer International, who will co-fund the exercise in the sub-County. In the next weeks a series of open days will be held in different locations in Muhoroni sub-County. The open/field days will be convened in partnership with the County government, local administration, Heifer International, ILRI, KAGRI, KALRO, key financial institutions (Cooperative Bank, KCB, other farmer’s cooperatives, Chemelil and Muhoroni Sugar Companies, Local large scale dairy farmers, Lake Basin Development Authority among others. Updates on this are coming to you in due course.
- Start-up of the organisation's agro-vet shop in Chemelil. The shop has begun stocking key vet inputs and seeds for the coming planting season. Other inputs to be stocked include Fertilisers, injectables, pesticides and other agro-chemicals, farm equipment and tools.
- Participation in the implementation of Kisumu County Dairy Breeding blueprint implementation as a key partner and the leading farmer's organisation.
- Construction of a large hay-barn for aggregation, storage and sale of animal feeds.
